Suoxi valley

China, an East Asian country is one of the world’s oldest civilizations. It has a vast cultural history of more than five thousand years and an outstanding natural beauty. On the other hand, this country has remained a comparatively isolated and secluded one, and being a land of mystery, this country is not known to the western half of the world. However, China is rapidly developing and has grown in the phase of modernization, with an immense speed and is also welcoming the outer world to interact and do business with them.

Suoxi Valley means fog-laden village in the Tujia dialect and though certainly enveloped in mist, name does not do justice to the attractiveness of the valley. The lowland covers an area of 150 square kilometers and mix of lakes, karst caves, ravines and forests. Geological changes and erosion have created many underground streams and vertical crevices, some which are over 600 meters deep. Suoxi Valley is located in Zhangjiajie which is in Northeastern Hunan province of China.

Suoxi Valley is the center of Wulingyuan scenic zone. It covers an area of more than 180 square kilometers and is the biggest of the three zones. Landform there is the same as Zhangjiajie and Tianzi Mountain, mainly making up of sandstone peaks. However, in the east, there is a collection of caves, for example, Yellow Dragon Cave and Goddess Cave. These are caves made of limestone. In terms of rare animals, Suoxi Valley boasts more than 20 species such as leopards, pangolins and giant salamanders.
