Lijiang which has been classified as a "National Town of History and Culture", is a beautiful shining jewel on the Northwest Yunnan Plateau. The Tiger Leaping Gorge with a drop of 3,000 metres is believed to be the world's deepest canyon. It was given the name, according to the legend, because a hunted tiger made his escape to the other side of the gorge in a single leap.

 

Day 1 ( L, )
Arrive at lijiang. Our guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Have city tours to Black Dragon Pool and the Ancient Lijiang City.

- The Black Dragon Pool: The park holds the Black Dragon Pool and got name because of it. The pool is listed in the Collections of Famous Pools in China because of its beauty.

 

- The Lijiang ancient town: The town was built in the late song dynasty and the early Yuan dynasty and was listed by the UNESCO on the list of the world's major cultural heritages in 1997.

 

Day 2 (B, L, )
Take a whole day to visit Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Yak Meadow, Baishui River(white water river), Baisha Murals and Naxi Ancient Music performance.

- Jade Dragon Snow Mountain: The mountain consists of 13 peaks. Among of them, the highest one is 18000 feet above sea level. It is a treasure of wild plants and rare animals.

 

- Yak Meadow(Maoniuping): Part of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, where the Yi and Zang Minority Ethnic Tribes live.

 

-Baishuitai: The birthplace of Naxi Minority Ethnic Tribe and their culture-Dongba, a wonder of water and limestone.

 

- Baisha Murals: With the spread of the Buddhism, people painted plenty of murals on the walls in temples since Ming Dynasty.

 

- Baishui River: The first impression that Baishui River leaves for you is the crystal clear water.In summer, you can stand in the water and feel the cold it brings to you ,as the water is of high quality and unpolluted , the white stones in the water can be seemed clearly,making the river water more crystal and transparent, so it has attained a reputation as " Baishui River"(White Water River).

 

-Naxi Ancient Music: Also features wonderful displays of folk songs. Performances nightly 2000.

 

Day 3 (B, L, )
Have full day trip to Tiger Leaping Gorge, First Bend on the Yangtze River, and Iron Chain Bridge in the Stone Drum town.

- Tiger Leaping Gorge: One of the world's four great gorges - is located in Hutiaoxia Town in Zhongdian County,is honored as one of the deepest and most marvelous gorges on the earth.

 

- First Bend of the Yangtze River: Located on the north end of the highway leading from Dali to Lijiang, about 70 km. from lijiang Town. Have a close look of the First Bend from Shigu county, you will be amazed at the majestic view.

 

Day 4 (B, )
Free on your own and then you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
